Why Rebounding Rocks

Who knew that jumping on a trampoline is one of the absolute BEST things you can do for your health?! You don’t need to embarrass your children by joining them and their friends on their trampoline in the yard, unless you are like me and love to mortify your 13 year old son, but you DO need to go out and buy a mini-trampoline for yourself PRONTO!

I first learned about rebounding at a Tony Robbins’ 5 day program called “Life Mastery”.  Tony talks a lot about how the key to extraordinary health is having healthy cells, which is what keeps us energized and alive. With proper amounts of oxygen, each cell not only performs its own specialized function, but also produces Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) to fuel the body. In order to survive and prosper, cells must have oxygen, water, nutrients, and the ability to eliminate waste.

Since cells are dramatically affected by the quality of your blood, and blood is the primary vehicle for delivering oxygen and nutrients through the body, “lymphasizing” is an excellent way to revitalize and oxygenate every cell in your body. It stimulates and strengthens your lymph system to release built up toxicity from the body.

NASA research found rebounding to be 68% more effective than running on a treadmill. That is great news for all my running friends who want to get aerobic exercise, but not put stress on the joints.  And even better news for non-running peeps who can’t stand running, and want a fun, easy way to get in cardio.

The benefits of rebounding were first published in 1979 by Albert E. Carter of The National Institute of Reboundaology and Health, Inc. in “The Miracles of Rebound Exercise” where he stated “Rebound exercise is the most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man”. After additional years of research, he went on to write “The Cancer Answer” further supporting his “The Healthy Cell Concept”.

In just 2 minutes of rebounding – the entire lymphatic system is flushed out and the white blood cell count nearly triples, providing a greater defense system to destroy cancer cells. This is one of the best preventive cancer strategies you can implement!  All you need is 20 minutes a day, which you can do in “NET” time – no extra time – while you are watching your favorite show, listening to a podcast, or rocking out to your favorite playlist.

There are many brands on the market, and you can pick up one at Dicks Sporting Goods for between $70-80, which is what I did back in 2012. I have done a lot of research on lymphasizing since Frank got cancer last year, however, so when I replace this one, I will go with my man Albert’s patented Rebound Air, which is the most innovative rebounder on the market today.

The main thing is to incorporate this simple, extraordinarily powerful exercise into your routine ASAP! And you can even listen to Kris Kross’ “Jump” while you jump!
