What’s Your Truth?

This is one of my favorite quotes ☀️

Having been a lifelong truth seeker born from innate curiosity and desire to be my best, I have discovered that information, resources, people, and answers reside in the Universe, and it’s up to us to go out and find them. Truth doesn’t come banging you over the head, however.

Quite the contrary, in fact. We spend much of our lives being influenced by others, the media, and the culture and often we don’t even really know what’s true for us because we have absorbed so many values and ideologies from external sources.

Ultimately, we get to decide what is true for us. And we get to change our minds as many times as we choose. 💥

To me, the kindest thing you can do while you’re here on this planet is discover what’s true for you and have the courage to stand in that truth and live in alignment with that truth. ⚡️

Own it baby!! 💃

If we can’t do that, then why are we here? I don’t want to live a life that’s not 100% authentic.

What’s authentic to you, however, may not be in line with “the culture”, what your parents believe, what you learned in school.

To go against the grain can feel lonely sometimes. People you thought were friends will turn away, family members you thought would be there for you no matter what, may not be, at least for a period. People may judge you. They may even outwardly criticize you and say hurtful things that don’t at all match up with what you feel is your true nature.

There is nothing more liberating, however, than feeing brave and safe to express yourself, especially if you’ve spent a lifetime suppressing your real thoughts and emotions.

Even if you have to stand alone, which you never really are truly alone because you always have God and your angels, you realize that being your own best friend, loving ALL the parts of yourself, even the shadow sides that we try to hide, especially those dark sides of ourselves, and truly being there for YOU is the greatest act of kindness you can extend.
